Palm Beach Vipers Update

Palm Beach Vipers Update

The Palm Beach Vipers have been a force to be reckoned with for several years now. The teams commander in chief, Ken Bryson, has built a nationally respected paintball program and most recently his team took 1st at the 2010 PSP Phoenix Open. We received an email from Ken this morning that came as a shock to us. Upon reading, however, Ken has made a difficult but logical decision to refocus his efforts on the Vipers nation-wide divisional paintball program and we wish him the best of luck. Read on for the latest paintball news from the Palm Beach Vipers.

“I have decided that it would not be wise to try and rebuild the Semipro and D1 teams for the PSP Chicago event. It’s just been too difficult collect local players to play at that level and build a competitive crew. I don’t feel that it would be a responsible decision to recruit out of state players and ask them to spend money flying back and forth to Florida for practices and scrimmages.

As difficult as this decision was, I feel it’s the right thing to do for the team, our supporters, sponsors, and players. This will also give me time to focus on working more with the lower divisional teams that have been performing well in their divisions. We will continue to have all of the lower divisional teams in attendance at the Chicago event and I may consider rebuilding the D1 Venom team for MAO if things can be worked out with a local player base. The Chicago teams are still going strong thanks to the efforts of John George from Seven Paintball and the rest of his players. They will continue to attend the NPPL events. The regional teams we have built in Florida, Georgia and North Carolina will continue to be a presence at GFOA, CFOA and CFPA events.

We will continue to work with our sponsors in promoting, marketing and selling their gear. They have been amazing for us even in the rough times so far this season and continue to be supportive of the program and its founding principles. Draxxus, Sly Equipment, Tanked, Macdev, Gen X Global and Seven Paintball Supply.

I also want to say a special thanks to Justin and Brandon from ProPaintball for their continued support of the program, our players and myself, your kind words don’t go unrecognized.
