Pro Paintball USPL West Coast Open Highlight Video
When we teamed up with veteran paintball videographer John Bires of Center50 films we knew that a good, quality paintball video would be forthcoming. After a long hot day at the paintball field (and more welts than he can count), John blew us away when he uploaded the Pro Paintball USPL West Coast Open Saturday Highlight video. Chris Raehl and the folks over at Fox College Sports have yet again brought college paintball to your TV. The National Collegiate Paintball Association hosted the 2009 National Championships at Central Florida Paintball this past April. Many teams flew across the country to play free paintball on the College dime although only one became the champion. Purdue University rostered the talents of pro paintball players and came back after a tough 2008 finish. RPL Oceanside Event Recap
The third stop of the 2009 Regional Paintball League (RPL) West Coast Series broke in the brand new Tournament Paintball Park at Camp Pendleton last weekend in Oceanside, Calif.
Teams from as far away at El Paso, Texas and Reno, Nevada made the trip to the San Diego area to be part of the 75 teams that were the first to fire rounds on the freshly rolled turf fields.
On Friday 16 seven-player teams comprised of active duty Marines competed in the Marine West Coast Paintball Championships. After showing their skills in the preliminary rounds, the Marines were treated to free lunch compliments of The Paintball Park at Camp Pendleton. When the day was done, Team Aggression from the 9th Command took home bragging rights as the best Marine paintball team on the West Coast.
Bright and early Saturday morning the RPL teams rolled onto the Camp Pendleton Marine Base for their shot to take home part of the $15,000 prize package. Teams in the five-player and three-player divisions took to the RPL, Eclipse and JT fields for their preliminary round games.
The Tournament Paintball Park at Camp Pendleton features a built in team paddocks area just feet from each field's entrance. The entry tent at each field offers its own compressed air fill station. With the close proximity of the staging area and fill stations, games ran ahead of schedule all weekend.
During lunch on Saturday, professional paintball players Travis Lemanski, Rusty Glaze, Todd Martinez, Yosh Rau & Rich Telford signed autographs for their fans at the RPL Command Center.
Before the finals on Sunday, the Tippmann TPX Pistol Challenge took place. Paintball celebrities including many of the professional players on site took part in a single elimination tournament. The new TPX Pistol shots .68 caliber rounds in a quick release magazine system. Future RPL events will offer a special “Tippmann TPX Pistol” division for all players.
Vendors onsite all weekend included Karnage Paintball, DGX Paintball, Planet Eclipse, Ramp'd Photography, Hundredth Monkey, Khrome Paintball, Golden State Paintball and Pit Row Barbeque.
The next RPL West Coast event will take place September 19 & 20 at US Paintball Nation in San Jose, Calif. More details will be available soon at www.therpl.com.

Bob Long Victory Video Review
The new Bob Long Victory was released early June and is a gun that any player would love to own. This gun has a list of features that rivals any of the high-end markers on the market. It is definitely a strong competitor in this already demanding market.
If you are a back player and need a gun that will let you shoot pod after pod of paint during a game, this is the gun for you! This gun has great air efficiency that will let you shoot up to 17 pods of paint (depending on set up).Its nice and easy on the balls because of its pillow bolt, so that will let you shoot tournament grade paint like DXS Gold without breaking a ball. This gun is also great for any front or mid field player who likes to shoot at an amazing speed with amazing consistency.
Unlike the other Bob Long guns, this gun has a hose-less design which is great because now you wont get tangled up in your bunker. Even though this gun is a closed bolt gun, you don’t need any tools to take out the bolt. It comes out very simply by picking up the back lever and pulling out the bolt.
The Victory along with most other Bob Long guns are compatible with 4 eyes. That is what makes Bob Long guns so fast and different. The first set of eyes lets the gun know that the ball is coming and to start its “pre-shot” procedure. Once it passes the second set of eyes, it tells the gun the ball is ready and the bolt starts moving to hit the ball. Not only is this gun super fast because of the four eyes, but it also comes stock with the Tadao Ryujin Board!

2009 NCPA College Paintball National Champs through August on Fox College Sports!
We’re BAAAAAACK……
For 5th year in a row, the National Collegiate Paintball Association is bringing the College Paintball National Championship back to television. Catch the premiere episode at 7 PM EST on Fox College Sports Atlantic, with re-airs throughout July and August on Fox College Sports Atlantic, Central and Pacific.
The championship match between the Purdue University Boilermakers and the Ohio University Bobcats features groundbreaking game coverage from eleven different cameras, expert game commentary by Matty Marshall, Oliver Lang and Rocky Cagnoni, and the best in college paintball competition.

German National Paintball team has won the World Games 2009 in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. Paintball is an introductory sports which was shown the first time at the World Games 2009.

Unfortunately the American team was not participating. Ironmen and Tampa Bay Damage should have represented the USA. If we are lucky Paintball will now be part of the World Games. The atmosphere was very good, the reception of our sports also.
Let us cross fingers that our sport will now be officially registered for the World Games.
