X-Fox clinch MPOC Div 1 title
Kuala Lumpur (Stadiumastro) - Team X-Fox were crowned 2009 Malaysian Paintball Official Circuit (MPOC) Division 1 champions after the fifth and final leg of the series at the Xtion Paintball Park in Bukit Jalil.
X-Fox, captained by Gary Lee, finished third behind Team Raskal and Team Matrix Entourage but their season total of 30 was enough to have them crowned champions.
Lee said the team’s victory was made possible by the commitment and dedication of the all the players.
“I would like to thank my team mates who fought side by side throughout the season and it was a fantastic finale.
“There are no boundaries now that we have won it again, the sky is the limit! Lets work towards winning it again next season!”
“I would also like to thank our sponsors KCHL Paintball, Dye Precision, Proto Paintball, Stako, Guerilla Air, Eclipse Paintball for their continuous support and great belief in the team.”
Lee said the team would also like to dedicate the win to retiring team member Fiezal aka Jakes who is retiring this season. Jakes was also voted the best Back Player of 2009 by his peers in the MPOC after an online vote.
The MPOC takes a break after the 5th Leg but paintballers in the country will be spending the next few months preparing for the World Cup of Asia 2009 which is to be held in Kuala Lumpur from the 19th to the 22nd of November. More than 120 teams from all over the world will be participating in the tournament.
